Tier 4: Nitrotrinadium Engines (5/5) The main point of this skill is to increase Iron Bear's fuel capacity. Tier 3: Fired Up (1/1) This will give us increased fire rate whenever a status effect is applied, letting us kill things faster. Tier 2: Double Time (3/3) A small boost to mobility while in Iron Bear.Įxplosive Fury (3/3) Status effects are the name of the game, so we want them to be as strong as possible. Really Big Guns (5/5) This is a no-brainer, since our main source of damage is going to be Iron Bear. Tier 1: Biofuel (5/5) This skill will regenerate Iron Bear's health when you ignite enemies.

Purple Tree/Bear Mother This is the most important tree in the build, as it allows you to increase your time in Iron Bear simply by applying status effects, namely incendiary. NOTE: This build requires ownership of the Borderlands 3 Designer's Cut DLC If you want an image of the skill trees, you can go to this post. I will break down the build in this post.

This build has so far been effective through Mayhem 6 I will update this post as I test it on higher levels. Not only does your mech have a large health pool, it also is capable of putting out big damage. It focuses on spending as much time as possible in Iron Bear.

Keep being you.įollow me on Twitter, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. You make Salvador and Zer0 look like kittens. Gearbox had to invent an entirely new subclass (Iron Cub) just to give players a reason to step out of Iron Bear every so often. While I struggled with three other classes as I leveled to 72, fighting 72-74 enemies while I was still mostly using level 65 gear, here comes Moze, bulldozing through everyone like they’re not even there, and farming the final boss of the Ava campaign from the first clear with no problem. In short, I think Gearbox has created the most ridiculously broken class in history, one that doesn’t really need any of the gear that you normally farm Borderlands for, but it’s fun enough where I’m not complaining about it, just spotlighting how weird it is.

Iron Bear health and damage scales with level, not gear you use for the most part, so these builds are entirely skill point based, outside of maybe a single class mod that can help boost things further. Now? They added anointments like 150% damage to rail guns in Iron Bear, so that means further damage buffs, and you just have to make sure you hop in when you’re holding that one. When I left the game, there were effectively no weapon bonuses that benefitted you in Iron Bear, so whatever your entire arsenal literally didn’t matter at all.
