If a psychiatric disorder is diagnosed, initial treatment will be provided to you at Stepping Stone Center for Recovery, which may include non-controlled medication therapy. This assessment will include a psychiatric examination and psychometric testing. In the first couple of days, you will also participate in a basic assessment to determine if you struggle with a co-occurring psychiatric disorder, such as clinical anxiety or depressive disorder. They will take your vital signs and complete a basic laboratory analysis and drug screening to evaluate your medical condition. Within the first 24 hours of admission, you will receive a physical examination and assessment by our nursing staff and physicians.
